- Will it hurt?

There are differences according to individuals, but people say that it doesn't hurt as much as plucking out nostrils. As the treatment is done in a relaxing way, most people get sleepy. If you feel the pain is too strong, please let our artist know, as we can adjust the depth of the needle.
- Who will be doing the treatment?
- The artists at our studio have taken professional training and have all the certifications acknowledged
by i-SIA (International "THE SCALP INK" Association). With high technique and a sense of ethics, our artists work hard to provide satisfying service. Our studio is highly recommended to those who are looking for high-quality treatment.
- How long will it take until completion?
- Though it depends on the range and place, each treatment takes about 1-3 hours,
with around 20,000-100,000 hair roots drawn. It takes about 2-5 treatments to complete the inking. This is because we need to let the ink blend in with the scalp. The consultation will let us estimate the number of treatments needed, so please contact us for details.
- I am going under hair loss treatment. Can I still try THE SCALP INK?
- It can be used in addition to other treatments, as it is something to improve your appearance until the actual hair starts growing.
It can also be used alongside AGA treatment, hair implant / restoration treatment at beauty clinics. THE SCALP INK is not a medical practice, so it can be tried easily.
- Won't it look unnatural?
- The reason it may look unnatural is because the dots are too big or the ink gets in the hair root and gets smudged.
Compared to the regular hairline or scalp tattoos, THE SCALP INK makes much smaller dots and colors the scalp by using the shallow layer of the scalp stably, so the ink will not reach the hair root. This enables us to depict realistic hair roots.
- Can I do the treatment even if my hair isn't black?
- THE SCALP INK can be applied naturally to people with gray or dyed hair.
The ink color can be adjusted individually based on the colors of the hair and skin. The refined choice of ink color and the depiction of shades will make the result feel very natural.
- How long will it last?
- Once completed, it will not disappear easily, but it may fade over time (differences according to individuals). In that case, we can add color again.
In our studio, we recommend maintenance once in a couple of years.
- How much will it cost?
- Regularly, the fee will be 2 yen per shot (before tax), but currently we are offering a campaign of 1 yen per shot (before tax). (For example: 150,000 shots will be 165,000 yen including tax). This half-price offer is done only for a limited time, so please contact us at your earliest convenience (it may end unannounced). The number of shots depends on the style, so please see the chart below for your reference.
- I am hoping to use it on a wide range. Is it possible to pay in installments?
- Yes! Installment payment with a credit card is possible! The number depends on the card company, usually around 24-36 times. However, we are not accepting bonus payments. Also, studios in Inzai use a simple, portable payment system, so please note we can only accept one-time payment. If there are any concerns, please contact us via LINE messages.
- Is it possible to make it within 50,000 shots?
- It is possible if the treatment is within a small range! However, we recommend splitting it into 2 treatments if you have time, as it will be possible to make contrasts and gradations, resulting in a natural and a high-quality outcome.
A Request to our Guests
Please let us check your scalp condition before the first treatment, as there are some hairstyles and scalp types that are not suited for THE SCALP INK. Please send us an image or a video of the spot you are concerned about. We also accept inquiries by phone. We will listen to your story, look at the condition of your scalp, and will decide if the treatment is possible with an estimation of the number of shots required.
